Each day, drug use, criminal activity, neglect and extreme poverty place children in harm's way.

As the only emergency shelter for children in southeast Nebraska, CEDARS is often the first place a child goes after being removed from an unsafe environment.

For more than six decades, CEDARS has helped thousands of children feel safe, loved and hopeful for a better future. Through emergency shelter, foster care, residential youth homes and many other programs, CEDARS helps abused, neglected and homeless children and youth travel the often difficult journey from birth to adulthood.
