A Story of Two of the Many Children in Need

Meet Amber and Carly, two little princesses, whose life beginnings were no fairy tale.

Once upon a time, there was a house filled with harsh words and harsh actions, and in this house lived two baby girls. After suffering from abuse and lack of medical care to treat their injuries, the girls were removed from the only home they knew. They were placed in foster care, moving to and from different homes, until finally placed with the Clarks, a CEDARS foster family, in June 2006.

Lots of patience, support and love was needed from special people at CEDARS. Jeff and Shelly Clark and our staff worked continuously with the girls to stop inappropriate behaviors with sticker charts, therapy, and a lot of TLC - Tender Loving Care.

Tremendous progress has been made, the girls have become a family with their foster parents and love every minute of it. They are now sharing this newly found safety, comfort and love with a brother and the family pets.

In March 2007, the girl's were officially adopted making their foster family their "forever" family - a happy ending with many more years of loving care to come.
