No child or youth should be without a safe place to sleep at night—especially this time of year.
In the last year, CEDARS Pioneers Center—the only emergency shelter for youth in Southeast Nebraska—provided 4,783 nights of care to 175 youth who had no other safe place to spend the night. And the need continues to grow. We're seeing an increased demand in our community. In order to meet the need, we're expanding our emergency shelter.
Just like when we were founded in 1947, we can't do that without the support of our caring community. Will you help CEDARS provide safe refuge to more youth who have no other safe place to spend the night?
Watch this video from CEDARS President Jim Blue about the need to expand our Pioneers Center emergency shelter to help more youth in crisis.
