In December 1947, CEDARS founders were preparing to celebrate their first holiday season with 22 kids who needed a home—and found one at CEDARS. Although being away from family during this special time of year can be difficult to imagine, it was the first time that many of these kids had ever truly felt safe. It was also the first time that many had experienced the joys of a loving home for the holidays.

This year, 1200 kids will be in CEDARS care; nearly 400 will call CEDARS home. For 75 years, the kids at CEDARS have counted on friends like you to give them a joyous holiday season. Can the kids count on you again?

Adopt-A-Family

Participating in CEDARS Adopt-a-Family Program is the most direct way to impact a family in CEDARS care during the holidays. You will be given information about a family currently at CEDARS with each family member’s wish list. Then, you and your family, group or coworkers can shop for the items to make these holiday wishes come true.
