Kids Unable to Live at Home

For those kids who are unable to live at home due to abuse, neglect, homelessness, running away or family crises, CEDARS provides an array of safe places to stay that offer structure and support while working to facilitate a successful transition to a more permanent living situation.

Foster Care & Kinship Families

CEDARS foster families provide a welcoming home to children and youth, ages birth to 18, who are unable to live safely at home. Our foster care program helps kids move from a state of crisis to stability while working to either return home safely or find permanency in the form of adoption, guardianship or independent living.

CEDARS Emergency Shelter

CEDARS Pioneers Center provides short-term care to youth ages 12-18, who do not have immediate access to a safe or more appropriate living arrangement. The center serves male and female clients and can provide care for up to 16 total youth at one time. CEDARS Basic Center provides short-term care for parents who need a break from their kids to continue to provide effective care.

CEDARS Reception Center

CEDARS Reception Center offers a safe, community-based facility for probation officers and law enforcement to conduct initial assessments and access expanded intake assessments, as well as support any referrals for youth and their families. The center operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with immediate intervention services conducted on-site as needed. Youth may remain at the Reception Center for up to 24 hours.
