LINCOLN, NE (December 14, 2023) Former Presidential Appointee to the United States Department of Agriculture Kate Bolz has been named the Senior Director for Policy and Advocacy at CEDARS. In this position, Bolz will be responsible for interacting with local, state, legislative, and government entities to represent, promote, and protect CEDARS and its clients.

Bolz holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and most recently served as the state director for the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development. Her experience also includes serving as the Policy Advisor to the Mayor for Economic Development for the City of Lincoln and spending nearly eight years as a senator for District 29 in the Nebraska State Legislature.
