CEDARS Names Kate Bolz Senior Director for Policy and Advocacy

LINCOLN, NE (December 14, 2023) Former Presidential Appointee to the United States Department of Agriculture Kate Bolz has been named the Senior Director for Policy and Advocacy at CEDARS. In this position, Bolz will be responsible for interacting with local, state, legislative, and government entities to represent, promote, and protect CEDARS and its clients. 

“Kate brings with her a wealth of experience that will be a great benefit to CEDARS as we continue to grow and expand our services to kids and families in the community,” said CEDARS President and CEO Jim Blue. “She has extensive knowledge in city, state, and government affairs, and we are confident that Kate is a great fit for our organization. Bolz holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and most recently served as the state director for the United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development. Her experience also includes serving as the Policy Advisor to the Mayor for Economic Development for the City of Lincoln and spending nearly eight years as a senator for District 29 in the Nebraska State Legislature.
