Staff Spotlight: Myles

Meet Myles, a Recruiter in our Lincoln and Omaha Foster Care programs! As a Foster Care Recruiter, he works hard to find CEDARS foster parents and foster homes. This process includes telling community members about fostering and interviewing potential families.

“I have met a lot of awesome people at CEDARS that have the same passion for helping kids as me,” Myles shared. “My favorite part about being a Foster Care Recruiter is being out in the community. I enjoy meeting with new parents and other organizations.”

Myles grew up with his sister Myranda in Kansas City, Missouri. He played football at Peru State College, where he got involved with the Black Student Union and the Communication and Broadcasting Club. After graduating college, he moved to Lincoln and began his career as a caseworker for DHHS. This led him to eventually join our team at CEDARS!

Always wanting to keep learning and growing, Myles plans to pursue a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bellevue University. In his free time, he likes to hang out with friends, watch sports, hit the gym, and read.

Myles shared his favorite CEDARS memory with us: “I really loved the Juneteenth event that CEDARS hosted. It was so good seeing people of different ethnic groups join together on a special day!”

Thank you for being here for the kids and families at CEDARS, Myles!
