Diversity Statement
At CEDARS, we embrace diversity, and we know the journey towards belonging never ends. We strive to create a workplace that reflects the community we serve, and where everyone feels like all of their identities are embraced and valued. When we practice empathy, and celebrate the diverse voices of our employees, it fuels innovation and creates an environment where our employees can do their best work.
CEDARS has a group of dedicated employees who volunteer on our IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Awareness) Committee to serve the purpose of ensuring CEDARS employees and service recipients of all identities feel like they belong in the CEDARS community. The IDEA Committee is actively working towards the following objectives:
1. Identify and implement diversity, inclusion and belonging strategies related to both employees and clients.
2. Build organizational trust and belonging through the promotion of activities that built awareness and foster empathy.
3. Promote organizational growth which supports a racial healing process that provides necessary structure to allow full participation, engagement, and fulfillment while exploring unconscious bias and cultural humility.
4. Foster diversity and equity, and create accountability systems to assure sustained growth.
CEDARS is committed to equitable employment opportunities without regard for race, ethnicity, gender identity, religious preference, neurodiversity, age, disability, marital status, sexual orientation or other identities.
