Inclusion, Diversity & Equity Statement

At CEDARS, we embrace and celebrate inclusion and diversity, and we know the journey towards belonging never ends. We strive to create a workplace that reflects the community we serve, and where everyone feels like all of their identities are embraced, valued and celebrated. When we practice empathy and celebrate the diversity of our employees, it fuels innovation and creates a welcoming environment where our employees can feel empowered to help and impact not only each other but the kids and families we serve.    

The CEDARS Inclusion and Diversity Committee is dedicated to advancing inclusion, equity and diversity throughout the entire CEDARS organization. This committee is focused on education, awareness and acceptance for all CEDARS employees, volunteers, interns and the kids and families in our care.    

The Inclusion and Diversity Committee is focused on two objectives, and it is through these objectives that the committee will continue to grow towards a completely inclusive environment.     

  1. To create an inclusive and diverse environment for CEDARS staff to explore and learn from each other through various educational opportunities, cultural celebrations and community events.   

  2. Continue to develop strategies, policies and action plans that increase racial diversity in staffing to compliment and reflect the diversity of the kids and families we serve at CEDARS.
